The Aries Journal is one of my favorite journals. It got some tread, that’s for sure. It traveled with me on a Greyhound Journal from Redlands, California to Cheyenne, Wyoming and back again. It holds many signatures and many truths as I was still trying to figure them out.
This is a NJS — a napkin journal signing. This napkin journal signing is from circa 1998-2000 when I lived in Redlands, California. I had a huge crush on this signer; he had no interest in me romantically. My best friend was friends with him. He is a good guy and shared good advice.
I almost always carry my journal with me, but when in need, there is always a napkin to be found that can serve as a last resort make-shift journal.
I met Jon and Ursula at the Jousting and Medieval Tournament at Arundel Castle on July 22 whilst in England for a study abroad course. We traveled to Arundel to attend the jousting and Medieval festival, as well as to tour the castle. The Duke and Duchess of Suffolk live at the castle. You can see the English Channel from the top of the Keep of the castle. I would also suggest visiting the gardens — simply beautiful.
The jousting event was very interesting and great fun. You can view the video below to hear an informal interview with Jon and me about jousting rules, Medieval jousting gear, and Twin Peaks‘ owls and why they inspired Jon to create his shield around the nocturnal bird.
